| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 經濟學系 === 85 === The problem of central bank independence has caused interest
during therecent years.This thesis mainly explores the
relationship between centralbank independence and inflation,
financial deficit,as well as the exchange rate.The impacts of
the increase in the degree of central bank independenceon
inflation in twenty-three countries have been explored.
Moreover,I willtry to investigate how inflation affects income
distribution and economicgrowth in Taiwan.Through this study,we
can find the importance of centralbank independence to us.
Besides,this thesis a lso attempts to establish indexes to
measure the degree of central bank independence,and to use these
indexes to explain to measure the degree of central bank
indecurrent operations of the organization and activities of the
Central Bank of China.To accord with current situations,I
identify the independence degree of the Central Bank''s
actualofficial functions through questionnaires.At present,the
questionnaires show that the Central Bank independence index is
not high in Taiwan.This may imply that our central bank is not
so independent as those in some developed countries,such as USA
and Germany.
