Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 太空科學研究所 === 85 === Recently, the fast growth in the requirement of global wireless communication accelerates the development of all wireless communication types; Therefore, the research on the propagation environment in wireless communication becomes important. In all types of wireless communication systems, with the expanding usage in LAN and PCS, the microwave band terrestial links are also important. With the rapid increase in the amount of usage and of data transmissoin, the C band and X band frequencies formerly in use have already been unable to meet the demand; On the other hand, the Ka band usage can ease the communication jam, but when propagating in meteorological channel, the Ka band signal is easily affected by various factors of meteorological enviroment, such as gaseous absorption, cloud attenuation, preciptation attenuation, and depolarization effect, etc., especially due to rain events. In this thesis we conduucted research on the Ka band propagation system to measure the rain attenuation, in addition, wi-th the accurate calibration and test, the guality of experiment data was ensured. In the future, we will use the numerical statistics analysis with the experiment data measured for a long time observations, in an effort to establish the rain attenuation pridiction model in Chung-Li area.
