碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 電機工程學系 === 85 === In this thesis, three kinds of radix-8 dividers with different redundancy and different quotient selection schemes are proposed to reduce the complexity ofquotient selection table. Comparing with previous work of Wey's method,we enlarge both the overlapped region and the radix from 4 to 8 in the P-D plotWe compared three of them in Boolean level, logic level , and physical layoutlevel. The design of higher radix divider are also presented with number ofinputs for the quotient selection table.
