Due to this , The research develops * the Heavy Vehicle Evaluation Model *evaluating and ranking the vehicle types having been used in Taiwan depend on social costs , and suggests the better ones for use .In the model , quantiting the vehicle using costs . The costs include external and internal . The former is road user cost quantiting by pavement construct and overlay costs ; The latter is the firm operating cost including driver wage cost , vehicle depreciation and interest cost , vehicle maintenance cost and fuel cost . Developing analysis procedure for each cost item , and collecting real data for the case study . Evaluating the social cost and other influences of different vehicle types , and analying Depending on the model analysing results , the S112 has the highest social costs in the tractor semi-trailer vehicle types when the gross weight limit over 30 tons . It has the largest percentage in their types but is the most unefficient one . The U12 and F1211 have lower social costs in their rank .
