Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 公共衛生學系 === 85 === Pulmonary tuberculosis and lung cancer are important problems of public health in Taiwan. Pulmonary tuberculosis is curable, but mortality of lung cancer is high. If pulmonary tuberculosis is the risk factor of lung cancer, control of pulmonary tuberculosis may decrease the incidence of lung cancer. The frequencies of micronucleus formation of peripheral lymphocytes were used as indicators of genetic damage to explore the difference between patients of pulmonary tuberculosis and control, and the change after antituberculosis medication. Forty-three cases of newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis and sixty-four controls were recruited. Cytokinesis-blocked micronucleus--ARA-c (CBMNA) were assayed. The significant results are:1)the frequencies of micronucleus formation have a 1.014 time increase with one-year increment of age.2)the frequencies of micronucleus formation of cases were 1.56 times of control after adjusting the effects of age, sex, smoking and drinking .3)the frequencies of micronucleus formation after medication of antituberculosis drugs for two months have a 0.704 time of premedication. The results suggested genetic damages were found in pulmonary tuberculosis patients, and medication of antituberculosis drugs might decrease this effect. The mechanism needs further investigation.
