outsourcing -- vendors and clients,this thesis studies the
obstacles and challenges in information technology paradigm
shift era in every stage and focuses on system integration
type. More specifically, this thesis takes into consideration
the manageral machanisms and strategies of the client
from the perspective of transaction cost theory.
The theoretical discussion of obstacles centers on the dimension
of the stages in system life cycle and both side in the
information technology outsourcing transaction. The
obstacle factors can becategorized into four groups,from
client, from vendor, from information technology and from
transaction processes. Based on transaction management
machanisms, some of the obstacles can be overcome.
The thesis also provide information technology outsourcing
manageral structure from client''s standpoint . The
management factors can be systemized to three dimension ,
management side, technology side , domain knowledge and
experience side. These factors will also cross-influence each
other. The thesis also studies the practical issues in
information technology outsourcing.
The specificity of information technology generates huge
transaction cost in the transaction process of
information technology outsourcing, however, few clients take it
into cinsideration. This thesis studies the obstacles and
manageral machanisms of information technology outsourcing from
the perspective of transaction cost , which can complement the
shortage of machanisms in information technology
outsourcing in menu books and prevent facing obstacles.
