In this paper, we use Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) for static and vibration investigations of composite plates. The results are compared with theoretical and numerical results. In addition, we develope a method of inverse evaluation the elastic constants of composite plates through vibration measurement of ESPI. We set up an ESPI system to find natural frequencies and mode shBesides, we also use ESPI to investigate three dimensional vibration of piezoelectric transducer. Not only the natural frequencies but also the out-of-plane and in-plane vibration mode shapes are successfully obtained.
