performance on VDT. Color can be an effective means to improve
human-computer communication. It is also commonly expected to
provide an additional subjective benefit by making Display work
pleasant. However, inappropriate use of color can result in poor
performance and higher incidence of visual discomfort. In this
study, we used reaction speed and subject preference rating as
indices for accessing the effects of color and luminance. For
accurate and eThe results showed that (1) Stimulus color
significantly affected visual performance. (2) Stimulus
luminanceand stimulus color significantly affected subjective
preference. (3) Response surface of reaction speed and
subjective preference were constructed, correlation analysis
showed that these two prediction model were better thanLippert''s
DE and CIE1976 DE.
