On the otherhand, Mertonemphasis that situation pressure affect a lot onthe change of race relations. This research takes Kang-An as a case, and includessecondary data analysis, participating observation andinterview methods. Chapter 4 is about the group structure ofKang-An, the society background, changes of the group andmember structure. Chapter 5 contains the changes of raceattitude of members and aborigines, and other influences bycontact also. Main research results are: 1. Political an d religious power leads to theestablishment of volunteer group for aborigines of collegestudents. And for members, joining it has dual functions:egoistic and altruistic. Members afford aborigines withactivities and learn how to grow in the volunteer process. 2. In terms of motives, Kang-An show something aboutpower .Group members choose to join this group first and goto tribes; then aborigines decide to participate thoseactivities, which are arranged by those who has determinedto get along with aborigines already, or not. 3.Kang-An has special subculture and the subcultureleads to have positive race attitudes for members towardtribe people. 4.The race attitude of members will be strengthened bycontact; aborigines has 4 positive race attitudes towardsHan-members after contact.
