Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 產業經濟學系 === 85 === Due to the important role played by the energy factor in
an economy, andthe high dependence on the imported energy, it
is more important for TaiwanGovernment to make a plan for
using our energy efficiently. While therealization of our
energy supply and demand is obviousllly the first step tomake a
good plan. Thereby this paper would like to investigate the oil
and gasconsumption transition for fulfilling our
knowledge in energy demandforecasting area.
The method in this thesis focuses more on the historical
backgroundanalysis rather than the econometric analysis only
applied by Su Jiun-Suei's thesis. This is because our gas
and petroleum upstream industries werecontrolled by the
Chinese Petroleum Cooperation (CPC). And it is believed thatthe
traditional market oriented model is hard to explain the
consumption pathin the past without well-defining those
factors dominated by governmentpolicies and many historical
economic impacts. After
considering all the historical events, it is found that some of
theresults and explanation by Su Jiun-Suei were not correct.
The new econometricanalysis is used to replace the original
one by adding the right impactsincurred by some historical
events. And we are happy to find better results inthis thesis.
