In addition, those films will be passivated and then studied the effect on the wear and corrosion properties.The results showed that the weight loss of the SKD61 coated with highsurface hardness chromium included coatings is lower than that of theSKD61 without coating. The friction coefficient of hard chromium andCrN is higher than that of heat treated SKD61 tool steel. It was concluded that the CrN coating can improve the wear resistance. The passivation ofthe wear resistance of coating steel can't obvious change. The heattreated SKD61 coated with CrN, CrC can improve the corrosion resistancein different corrosion solution, except that hard chromium coating specimen.
