| Summary: | 碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 中國醫藥研究所 === 86 === Hwang-Lian-Jiee-Dwu-Tang(HLJDT) is an traditional formula that consists of
coptidis rhizoma,phellodendri cortex,Scutellariae radix and Gardeniae fructus.
Clinically, it is used widely for the treatment of hypertension ,skin diseases
and ulcer state. In this study, the formulation and preparation of HLJDT were
conducted.
The HLJDT decoction was prepared accorded with traditional formula, then the
concentrated decoction were dried by either oven method or lyophilization .The
HLJDT tablet was manufactured by wet granulation method according to three
different tablet formulations. All tablet products were possessed good
physical characteristics included hardness ,friability and the weight variation
test. The dissolution of baicalin and berberine from HLJDT tablet was evaluated
by the paddle method in both pH1.2 and 6.8 medium, and was assayed by self-
developed HPLC method. It found that , tablets that prepared from oven dried
HLJDT were dissolved both baicalin and berberine more rapidly and completely
then that of freeze dried products.
By comparing the physical properties and dissolution data, the best formulation
for HLJDT tablet in this study is using oven-dried HLJDT and add Dicalcium
phosphate, Lactose, Avicel, Aerosil and PVP-K30 as excipient.
