Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 中國醫學研究所 === 86 === (dry pharynx and dry mouth) is one of diagnostic criteria of yin-vacuity in Chinese medicine. There may be some changes on the pharyngeal mucosa such as the increase of mucosal viscosity, and pharynx is a part of vocal tract, so we assumed that the mucosal change may contribute some acoustic characteristics to voice analysis of yin-vacuity. Thirty-nine yin-vacuity, thirty-six qi-vacuity and non-vacuity patients were recruited from our clinic of Chinese medical department. A sustained stable phonation of English vowel /a/ lasting about one second was recorded. We used the central segment of recorded waveform about 600 msec for voice analysis. There were 45 points detected from the spectral analysis in each segment by a 25.6 msec frame moving every 12.8 msec. The variation of formant frequency, total within-cluster variation and spectral energy ratio of high frequency area(>3000Hz) were calculated from these 45 detected points for evaluation. The preliminary results of this study were as follows: 1. Variation of formant frequency: The values of variation of the first(F1) and second(F2) formant frequencies were smaller in non-vacuity group compared to yin-vacuity and qi-vacuity groups.2. Total within-cluster variation: The result is as same as the variation of formant frequency愀.3. Spectral energy ratio of high frequency area: No significant difference existed between non-vacuity group and yin-vacuity group as well as non-vacuity group and qi-vacuity group, but significant difference did exist between yin-vacuity group and qi-vacuity group. We concluded that the voice analysis of yin-vacuity displayed these acoustic characteristics including formant frequency unstable and more spectral erengy in the high frequency area.
