Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 工業工程研究所 === 86 === Scheduling research is important in both academia and industry. Unfortunately, in general, theoretical scheduling research cannot apply to industrial scheduling problems. Theoretical research makes oversimplified assumptions that cannot reflect realistic scheduling constraints and developsover-complicated algorithms that are difficult to implement. This research proposes a hierarchical scheduling approach to solve an industrial scheduling problem in plastic tile manufacturers. Upper level scheduling assigns orders to different production lines and lower level scheduling determines the sequence of orders at each line. Realistic conditionsare taken into accounts: preventive maintenance, work calendar of machines, alternative routines, work-in-process, overtime capacity, bath size, ...etc. A prototype scheduling software is developed in Foxpro and industrial dataare used to test the performance of the scheduling algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed hierarchical scheduling approach is effectiveand efficient.
