In addition, the characterization of the unknown compounds 6 and 7 are still on going. Ursane type triterpenoid derivatives 1, 8 and 9 were screen for cytotoxic activities against KB,PLC/PRF/5, T24,HT3,SiHa and Caski tumor cells in vitro.The results indicated that ursolic acid(8) showed significant cytotoxicity against KB, PLC/PRF/5 cells, 1 showed marginal effect against several human tumor cell lines. While compound 9 were inactive against KB,T24,HT3,SiHa,PLC/ PRF/5 and Caski cell lines. The isolation of other bioactive constituents are still undertaken.
