Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 資訊科學學系 === 86 === We focus on effiency and human/machine interface to improve the current virtual environment browser. At the effiency aspect, in order to speed up the rendering performance. We decide to use Microsoft''s Direct3D rendering library as developing tool.At the human/machine interface aspect, except keep the traditional mouse/keyboard control method, we add orally voice control method. Users can use orally voice commands to operate the browser. Besides, if the system can''t recognize user''s command, we also provide learning function to customize the system with user''s idiom. We also sloved several problems, which are followed with voice control.Such as take apart orally voice control problem into voice recogni tion andnatural language processing. Then use external software to do the voice recognition job. In this way, we can develop an orally voice control browser ina short time. Besides, in order to eliminate the ambiguity of voice control, weadd bounding box to 3D object and figure out the instruction set of operating tree control by voice. We designed and implemented a virtual environment browser to prove our ideas above. And named it as "Echo" system. Through the implementation of Echo system, we proved that our ideas and concepts are practical. We improved the effiency and made the human/machine interface more friendly of the virtual environment browser. So, Echo system does have the contribution of improving the virtual environment browser.
