multilayers have been grown using proper seeding layers and
substrates by Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) system. We discussed
the structural and perpendicular magneticanisotropy (PMA)
properties of [Co/Pt] multilayers among three parts: 1.
Different structures including fcc(111)、(100)、(110) and (311)
of [Co/Pt] multilayers. 2. Different Co layer thickness from 2A
to 10A. 3. Different kinds of seeding layer (Mo、Pt、Mo/Pt)。The
epitaxial structures of [Co/Pt] multilayers have been studied by
Reflective High-Energy Electron Diffraction (RHEED) and x-ray
diffraction measurements。Perpendicular Magneto-Optical Kerr
Effect (PMOKE)、Extraordinary Hall Effect and Vibrating Sample
Magnetometry (VSM) measurements have been used to investigate
the magnetic properties of [Co/Pt] multilayers. We also observed
the atomic surface and magnetic domainmorphologies of [Co/Pt]
multilayers using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM)、Magnetic Force
Microscope (MFM) and Kerr Microscope measurements. It is found
that the structure of [Co/Pt] multilayers、Co layer thickness
and kinds of seeding layer have greatly influenced on the PMA
properties. Bedies, on Mo (211) seeding layer we have grown a
new fcc (311) structure of [Co/Pt] multilayer which also
exhibits the PMA properties.
