The transmission system model consists of the transmitter with a raised cosine filter and the receiver with diversity. The channel is modeled as frequency selective fast Rayleigh or Rician fading. The diversity combining with differential detection is applied to improve the system performance and to reduce the hardware complexity. A method to cascade multiple stages with various combining schemes will more effectively combine the received diversity branches. The simulated and analyzed outcomes are obtained to present the performance of variable numbers of branches with different combining schemes. The numerical results indicate the details of the system performance in fading environment attenuated by Doppler effect and delay spread.
