Relations Among Adolescent Suicide Ideation, Family Functioning and Hopelessness

碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導學系 === 86 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relations among adolescent suicide ideation,family functioning and hopelessness.Four hundred and fifty seven vocational school students completed [Family Assessment Device],[The Hopelessness Scale] and [The Scale for Suicide Ideation].The resultsindicated 29.8% of the students reported having suicide ideation for thepast six months.Results were as follow: (1).For Freshman and Junior students,those who have low general family functioning,reported higher hopelesses and suicide ideation.(2).For Senior students,those who have low general family fuctioning, reported higher hopelessness.However,there is no significant relation between general family functioning and suicide ideation, and no significant relation between hopelessness and suicide ideation.(3).Result show significant correlations between adolescent hopelessness and [Communication],[Behavior control],[Affective responsiveness], [Roles],and significant correlations between adolescent suicide ideation and [Problem solving],[communication].(4).For Freshman and Junior students,in this path model,the direct effect from general fam indirect effect from general family functioning through hopelessness to suicide ideation.For Senior students, there is no effect between general family functioning and suicide ideation,and no effect between hopelessness and suicide ideation.(5).This path model can explain 19% and 20% variance for Freshman and Junior students'' suicide ideation, but it was not suitable for Senior students in this study.
