In order to avoid Military Investment Budget (MIB) squeezed by MPMB and to insure the national security, estimating MPMB concisely became a vitally important challenge for defense department. This study investigate the practicability of establishing the model of MPMB forecasting by ARIMA technique. Data collected 126 monthly salary and personnel available. We estimate monthly military personnel and monthly salary through ARIMA technique, and compare the consequences with those of the traditional estimated procedure. Findings suggest that ARIMA model constructed in this study can serve as a parsimonious and efficient tool for managerial work.
