Summary:碩士 === 國立台南師範學院 === 資訊教育研究所 === 86 === The research is based on the concept and techniques of the intelligent Computer-Assisted Instruction (ICAI), multimedia, WWW, and database, to develop an ICAI system for teaching the students to write the correct stroke order of Chinese characters. The vivid animation and the intelligent inference contained in this system would be useful to enhance the motivation of learning the correct stroke order of Chinese characters, such that the performance of teaching can be improved greatly. The structure of the proposed system is different from the traditional CAI system. The techniques of artificial intelligence is used to construct the knowledge-base and inference rules. Then, each character is associated with multiple conditions (rules) for inference. When an error stroke order of a character occurs, another character with similar stroke order of the wrong character is selected to teach this student. Such that the student can learn the correct stroke order and then form a correct writing behavior. To extend the range of applications, this system is modified to a WWW-based ICAI system for the long distance learning. After the experimental testing, the students’ and teachers’ responses are exciting and positive, which verifies the value of this research.
