Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學系研究所 === 86 === A constitutive model for rock joint behaviour from the view point of the micro-mechanics is proposed first. The undulation of joint profile is modeled by joint elements. The mechanical behaviour between two corresponding joint elements are simulated by the interface element that is connected with normal and shear stiffness spring. The model considers force equilibrium and moment equilibrium of joint profile. On the failure mode of the asperities, the model considers slidin, seperatio, shear failur, crushing failure and tensile failure. At last,by the contribution of any two dimensional joint profile to the mechanical behaviour of three dimensional joint profile, the three dimensional joint behaviour is evaluated by means of several representative profiles. The two dimensional constitutive model expands into quasi-three dimensional constitutive model.A laboratory direct shear testing program on both artificial joints with regular intended sawtooth geometry and with irregular surfaces from brazilian splitting of granite was udertaken to validate the consitutive model. Relatively good agreement was achieved between the simulated and experimental results.
