Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學系研究所 === 86 === For the Flexural Strengthening, the objective is to compare the models available in the literature for predicting premature failure of FRP- strengthened reinforced concrete (RC) beams. Tree types of premature failures are often observed in FRP-strengthened RC beams. These include peeling off of concrete cover, debonding between concrete and FRP, and shear failure. Models for the first two types will be reviewed and compared using experimental data in this paper. The ones that correlate well with experiments are then suggested for design purposes. The shear failure can be predicted by the equations given in relevant design codes such as the ACI code; it is not discussed here. Finally,we suggest a suitable design procedure for the flexural strengthening. For the torsional strengthening, the torsional theorys for analyzing the torsional behavior of RC beams are reviewed.Bams strengthened with different methods are analyzed analytically.According to the analysis, the best way of torsional strengthening is suggested.
