Antigens (Bovine ser um albumin, BSA; Anti-human IgG) were chemically bonded (pre-activation and pr e-adsorption method) onto the emulsfier free lattices of methyl methacrylate ( MMA), methacrylic acid (MAA) core-shell polymer and copolymer, P (MMA/MAA). In order to apply immuno-latex to the verification of the diseases. The immunolo gical agglutination of these protein-coated particles (immuno-latex) initiated by the addition of antibodies (Anti-BSA, IgG) was quantified by the absorbanc e change at a wavelength of 360nm and 680nm. In the result, first, we can co ntrol the concentrations of surface carboxyl groups on the latex by adding dif ferent amount of MAA in the polymerization; second, pre-adsorption method can chemically bond more antigens (BSA and Anti-human IgG) than pre-activation one ; third, both the amount of covalently bonding antigen and temperature affect the sensitivity of the immunological agglutination .The more antigens and high er temperature (37oC) is better in the immunological agglutination. Also, at a wavelength 360nm, the sensitivity of immunological agglutination is better.Ke yword: Biomaterials、Immunolatex、Immunological agglutination
