Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 牙醫學系 === 86 === The aim of this study was to evalute the distribution of the craniofacial asymmetry and discuss the asymmetry areas of mandible. We collected the pre-treatment serial CT images for 3D image reconstruction. The research included hemifacial microsomia and cleft lip and palata patients. The formerhad 13 children,7 boys and 6 girls with average age 5.5 years; the latter had 13 children,8 boys and 5 girls with average age 5 years. After determining 24 landmarks and approaching 46 measurements, the Chi-Square and pair t test displayed the following results:(1) frontally, hemifacial microsomia group hadsignificant asymmetric deviation in posterior cranial triangle related to mid-sagittal plane (2)vertically, condylar discrepancy between left and right sideswas not significant as expected and coronoid process discrepancy was not a good indicator in diagnosis of mandible asymmetry (3)hemifacial microsomia group hadvertical, sagittal and transverse discrepancy (4) cleft lip and palate group hadvertical discrepancy especially in ramus height (5) vertical discrepancy can besensitive factor in diagnosis of mandible asymmetry.
