Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電機工程學系研究所 === 86 === In the wake of the development of the communication technologies, the applied range of the wireless communication has become wider and wider. Facing the day-by-day complicated control scheme, we need to develop a set of means to quickly predict the performance in order to enforce the advanced control. In the environment of Wireless Integrated Services, the voice and the data coexist and the demand for the Quality of Service (QoS) is also different from the traditional environment. Besides the demand for the delay mean, time-sensitive data also needs to monitor and control the delay jitter. In order to present the burstiness of traffic, we will use a new type of source to simulate the traffic situation. At first, this paper analyzes the situation of single VBR traffic, and use it as the basis of the further analysis. When we use the rest of voice traffic, we have two totally different ways - complete sharing technique and complete partitioning technique. After we calculate the results of these ways, we can compare the differences between their performance. Finally, we can use this model to get the predicted performance quickly and use it as the basis of Usage Parameter Control (UPC) and Call Admission control (CAC).
