碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程技術研究所 === 86 === In this work, we present the use of an observation-based bandwidthtracking as an admission control strategy for the support of softreal-time VBR traffic in VOD system. The purpose of call admissioncontrol in Integrated Services Networks is to offer a guarantee that Quality of Service (QOS) are not violated due to the admission of new calls into the network. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can work well and meet the stable and reliable requirement in a VOD system.
