Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程技術學系 === 86 === This experiment study discusses the burning behavior of the motorcycle. By using full-scale heat release test, the heatrelease rate of combustible parts of the motorcycle weremeasured first, in order to find out what is the primary factorwhen the motorcycle is burning. Then full-scale fire tests ofone motorcycle in open space and different position of arcade were conducted to gain the basic data of the motorcycle fire. The result shows that the combustibility of plasticpillion and shell of the motorcycle is the main factor in theburning. The heat release rate and temperature profile of themotorcycle with an iron-shell is much lower than a motorcycle with plastic pillion and shell. The maximum heat release rate of plastic pillion and shell is 619.0kW and 1680.0kW. The heat release rate of the burning motorcycle is estimated from the height of flame. The maximum heat release rate value of one125c.c motorcycle burning in open space is 1229.7kW. The fire of the motorcycle parked beside the front wall that below the arcade is more dangerous to surroundings.
