The museum staff, specialized expertise, great confidence in their work and the clear mission statements and goals of the organization are the most important factors for the museum to achieve its goals. A total of 116 questionnaires were returned and 108 were valid. The findings of this study are as follows. 1. The staff members thought that "education" and "exhibition" were the most important goals in NSTM; "exhibition", "leisure" and "education" were the goals the management appreciated; "education" and "leisure" were the tasks which had been accomplished proportionately; "research" was the one NSTM needed to focus on. 2. Except marriage, all the staff''s background variables have shown significant difference and correlation in the perception of organizational goals. 3. 72.15 percent of the interviewed staff have shown the commitment toward the museum. The longer one works in the museum, the lower the degree of perception of organizational commitment is. 4. The interviewed staff showed 69.47 percent of job satisfaction in degree. The background variables, age, working years, departments and job position have shown significant difference in job satisfaction. The longer one works in the museum, the lower the degree of job satisfaction is.
