To meet the requirement of Taiwan Power Company (TPC), improvement methods are also proposed to avoid inverse transmission of reactive power from cogeneration plant to TPC system during the off-peak time. Further where the power is purchased by the cogeneration plant, the tripping of the tie line between cogeneration plant and TPC will deteriorate the frequency. When the generation and load demand is extremely unbalanced, it would even trip the cogeneration generator set and cause the full shutdown of the entire factory. Aiming at such kind of cogeneration plant, an load-shedding plan is proposed in this article so that the system may not be broken down simply by the influence of TPC.
