There were sixty subjects, including 30 males and 30 females participated in the study. Anthropometric and maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) of grip strength (3 arm postures ×4 wrist postures) of the subjects were measured. The grip strength recorded from grip meters were also recorded for one hand and two hands weight holding (2 weights×3 holding heights). For the results of the MVC grip strength , significant effects were detected among sex, arm postures, wrist postures, and left/right hand. When holding objects statically, the weight of the load affected the grip strength significantly. Significant interaction effects of weight and holding height were also found on grip strength. The deviation of the wrist was significantly different under various weight and holding height levels. The grip force required to handle the load was found to be more than the weight of the load. Estimation of the grip force by the weight of the load handled might not be appropriate. 李開偉 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 68 zh-TW
