Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 環境醫學研究所 === 87 === Volatile organic compounds are hazardous air pollutants with photochemical reaction property. Through a series of photodegradation and oxidation process, strong free radicals are produced, and photochemical smog as well as carcinogenic substances are induced thereafter, the air quality deterioration is becoming the serious problem in our environment. Benzene and toluene are two most abundant components in ambient air of city area. Factors of UV light energy, moisture content and nitrogen oxide that affect the degradation of benzene and toluene were investigated. Under test conditions, N-ethylacetamide and phenol were two compounds produced while the amount of benzene and toluene were decreased. The result also Showed that the degradation of toluene was influenced more by nitrogen oxide then benzene was. High moisture content was not in favor of N-ethylacetamide formation.
