Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 德國語文學系 === 87 === Abstract: Chapter One is the introduction of the motive, the purpose, the research methods, and the definitions of the key words and terms in this thesis. Chapter Two lists the examples of the unfamiliar daily objects in the two textbooks “Themen neu” and “sowieso”. According to the definition of “unfamiliar”, 30 items are found and are classified into 14 categories: 1. personal information 2. accommodation 3. environment 4. travel and traffic 5. food 6. shopping 7. service facilities 8. health 9. body language 10. occupation 11. education 12. foreign language learning 13. pastime and entertainment 14.social life. The examples are described with the reasons why the examples in the textbooks are unfamilar for Taiwanese German Learners. The comparisons of the contents and the distribution of the unfamiliar daily objects in these two textbooks are provided in Chapter Three. Chapter Four focuses on the explanations for the unfamiliar daily objects in the two textbooks. The collected information is gathered from encyclopedia, specialized books for German daily life and the materials provided by friends in Germany. Some items are explained with photos and statistics. The conclusion and the suggestions for teaching methods, for the German curriculums in Taiwan, and for future studies are given in Chapter Five.
