Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 87 === In general speaking, Quality Cost includes four parts: Appraisal Costs、Prevention Costs、Internal Failure Costs and External Failure Costs. When business notes that its quality cost becomes higher, intuitively it might thought the performance of quality is poor; and when its quality cost shows a downtrend, it might thought the performance of quality is under-control. In fact, it doesn''t have an accordance relation between quality costs and quality. So, how to reduce the quality costs and meet the requirements of quality, it becomes the major goal of quality management of businesses. In most study of quality costs, descriptive statistics methods are used, and it only shows the change of quality costs accumulated in each month. However after we had examined the External Failure Costs (EFC) of each month from some businesses with endurable product, we always found that it is the result of poor quality produced on some previous months. It is called theTime-lag problem of external failure cost. Consequently, this paper proposes decision models of quality costs to assist the management of quality. Based on the attribute of Time-lag of EFCs, businesses are categorized into three types, and two kind of quality costs prediction models (Time Series、Neural Network) are used to analyze the marginal change trend of quality costs.
