| Summary: | 碩士 === 高雄醫學院 === 行為科學研究所 === 87 === The increasing growth of an aging population with a predictable increase in chronic illnesses and family structure change emphasizes the need to re-evaluate the current Long-Term Care system. The establishment for the basic element of Long-Term Care ─Home Health Care in the medical care system was more perfectible than the social welfare system. The purpose of this study has evaluated the home health care receivers’ utilization and satisfaction for 「The Welfare for the Disabled」of Kaohsiung City.
There were totally 58 respondents sampled from two agencies which provided home health care. In addition, one nurse leader and one social worker were also interviewed. The instrument was based from related literature and researches recently. The result is:
1.Among two agencies, most of the clients were female （55.2％,65.5％）,elder（48.3％,58.6％）,and had CVA （41.4％,48.3％）.The percentage of Low-Income Brackets was very low（10.3％,3.4％）, but most of them have the Disabled Registers（82.8％,65.5％）.
2.Because of the limited qualification of meanstest and the lack of information network, the home health care receivers don’t know how, can’t or don’t want to use The Welfare for the Disabled, The variable of “information supply” from nurse was not significant.
3. The first determinant of 「the utilization of the whole welfare for the disabled」is how the agencies deal this affairs. The second is the clients’ age variable. The main predictable factor of 「the satisfaction of the whole welfare for the disabled」was 「the utilization of the whole welfare for the disabled」,and the second factor was disease count.
Overall, The suggestions including the qualification, information network, human resources, the non-governmental resources and the intervention of social worker. They were proposed in terms of social service to help the home health care receivers.
