Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系 === 87 === The objective of the study is to investigate numerically boundary layer flows past two-dimensional rectangular cavities. In the calculations, a weakly-compressible-flow method incorporated with a large-eddy-simulation technique is adopted. By varying the aspect ratio of the cavity, the pattern of the boundary layer flows and Reynolds number, the characteristics of the flow fields under various are analyzed on a systematic basis. Results show that the velocity distribution in cavity is similar to that of a jet flow. The recirculation zone elongates as the cavity aspect ratio increases. When the Reynolds number of the flow is 104, and the cavity aspect ratio is greater than 9, a reattachment occurs at the bottom of the cavity. In addition, the flow pattern in the cavity becomes insensitive to the increase of the aspect ratio.
