Should we put the highlight on users'' psychological cognition and their actual habitual behaviors again? This thesis which based on the motive mentioned above puts emphasis on the relation between the variation of function elements'' relative positions on product interface and the users'' stereotype for product interface. This research may lead to a new model for the valuation of the user interface design. This research tried to verify the existence of population stereotype for the interface of slide projector by series experiments. During the first experiment, we asked the testees to locate the function elements to the right place which they consider to be most proper on the model, and then divided the testees into several sub-groups according to the consequence of the first experiment, then ask the testees to estimate the usability and the favor level of various interfaces which are different in functional element position design. The second experiment focused on the reaction of the testees which were belonged to different sub-group, therefore we hope to prove that the product interface design which perfectly fit the image of users'' stereotype will be ideally accepted, and then a rough valuation model for the position arrangement of product functional elements will be induced.Followings were the main contributions of this research:1. Establishing a rough product model which best meets the customs of operators for the target product we choose in the project.2.Establishing a valuation model which can forecast the favor level of the product interface according to the position variation of interface.
