Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 機械工程學系 === 87 === In this work, we study radiative heat transfer in the boiler furnace of a power station. The emphasis on radiative heat transfer is because radiation is the dominant model of heat transfer in the furnace. The flame and combustion gases are assumed to be participating. The Monte Carlo method is adopted, because the development of Monte Carlo codes for radiative heat transfer in complicated geometries requires less effort. Results for three-dimensional furnaces of two shapes are presented. The results show that radiation is dominant, as expected. Next, we consider the effects of load and wall reflection. The values of temperature and heat flux increase with the increase of load, and the wall reflection makes the distribution of the flux on the wall more uniform.
