Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 中國語文學系 === 87 === Chou Tso-jen was one of leaders in New Culture Movement. ” Humane Literature ”could be said the most important target in his articles about literature. It showed Chou Tso-jen’s thought in 20~30s.So this thesis is on the basis of Humane Literature to discuss his life-literature and the idea of Chou’s “Yen-Chih” (言志)concept. This thesis includes six chapters, reference books and one appendix. Chapter I, introduction, is description and commentary about the studies of Chou Tso-jen and his works up to present, pointing out some aspects that could be developed in research. Chapter II, is to explore the source of Chou Tso-jen’ thoughts. He had said his thoughts which were under the influence of west knowledge(西方的知), Japanese felling(日本的情),and Chinese sense(中國的意). Chapter III, the discovery of human being and ideal life, is a discussion of Chou’s outlook on life, Individualistic humanitarianism, and the New Village movement. Chapter IV, humane literature and life-literature, discusses Chou’s concept in literature. In this chapter will explain the foundation of Chou’s literature-idea. “One’s own garden” shows a balance between the masses and person. It’s also a style of the art of life. Chapter V, Yen-Chih(言志)concept, which is different from traditional “yen-chih”. This chapter is a discussion of the Chinese essay(美文)and Chou’s yen-chih-literature concept. Chou Tso-jen considered the Chinese essay, which was the top of yen-chih-literature. Chapter VI, conclusion, is some personal generally comments.
