碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 應用藝術所 === 87 === 　　This thesis consists of two parts：one is the statement about the compositional ideas in this piece of string quartet “Recalling God’s Grace”, and the other is the score of string quartet “Recalling God’s Grace”. 　　This string quartet (for two violin, viola and cello) has two movements written for church music in worship and used pieces of melody from “Recalling” and “Amazing Grace” as source of material.　The purpose of this work is to help people be free from the control of the world by using music in worship and let them up to holy social context─ linking to Holy Spirit.　I combined the key word of “Recalling” and “Amazing Grace” to be the name of this string quartet─ “Recalling God’s Grace”
