Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 工業管理研究所 === 87 === Logistics has gained great attention when many firms reorient their conventional cost-based strategy toward time-based strategy. In terms of material flow, logistics is the process from the acquisition of raw materials to the distribution of finished products. Besides, the flow of information exchanged and processed within the supply chain provides the mechanism to activate the material flow and actually determines the logistics performance with respect to cost and delivery.
Since the advocacy of JIT, Make-to-Order (MTO) has become a trend in the industrial world. Although MTO production is more flexible in customizing the product, the management of MTO is more complicated than Make-to-Stock due to (1) many competitors are involved in bidding for orders, (2) each order requires different amount and sequence of processes, (3) the difficulty to forecast the loads on facilities prior to orders, and (4) many parties involved in the logistics process. In this research, we suppose a multiagent-based logistics information system (LIS-Net) to facilitate the coordination between organizational units. In addition, to fulfill the customer order for MTO manufacturing environment, we adopt Theory of Constraints (TOC) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC) into the decision framework. To model and simulate the processes of LIS-Net, an innovative modeling technique called ARchitecture of integrated Information System (ARIS) is applied.
