Summary:碩士 === 國立花蓮師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 87 === The Communication Difficulties between Aboriginal Schools and parents : Take Sun Elementary School for Example Chen Lan Liu Abstract This research is aimed to explore the communication difficulties between aboriginal schools and parents by qualitative research. With one aboriginal elementary school as the research object, the researcher has entered the school and the community to do participant observation, had in-depth interviewed and made document analysis after the observation. First, the purpose of this research is to investigate the theoretical foundation for communication between aboriginal schools and parents. Then we investigate the communication difficulties and their causes by a case study of the Sun Elementary School. Finally, we provide practical suggestions to strengthen the communication between aboriginal schools and parents. The main results of this research are as follow: 1. The cleareyed differences of educating children''s way and education values between the aboriginal school and parents. 2. The barriers of the communication system or limit of resource. 3. There are differences in erudition and status between aboriginal school and parents. 4. Lacking of active communication motivation between the aboriginal school and parents. 5. Lacking of correct communication attitudes between the aboriginal schools and parents. 6. Lacking of time to communicate between the aboriginal school and parents. Based on this findings, my suggestions are as follow: 1. Educators should active in communicate with parents and designing good communication system to invite parents to take part in . 2. Educators should listen actively, respect, and accept multi-cultures and different values. 3. Providing some curriculum to encourage parents to have confident in communicating with educators. 4. School needs support from upper level of education administration. 5. Parents should understand the rights and duties to educate children. At the same time, they should communicate with the school.
