Summary:碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 87 === Abstract For the purpose of putting "small class size and small school size "into practice and implementing "localized management" ,the major purpose of this study is to explore the effects of scale and the related subjects in the elementary schools of Keelung City . The study first reviews the related literature in order to search for the theoretical foundation of the effects of scale in the elementary schools. Secondly ,the questionaire and interview which are developed by the researcher are used to survey the general situation of the effects of scale in the elementary schools of Keelung City. The study take the census from the elementary schools in Keelung City.338 from teachers and 933 from students are collected in good condition. Factor analysis、product-moment correlation、one-way ANOVA、two-way ANOVA and multiple comparison are adopted to analyze the data. The study has come to the following conclusions: 一、 The concept "effects of scale in school" can take "the structure of school organization"、"the job satisfaction of teachers"、''''the interactive relationship between teachers and students''''、''''the environment of student''s learning'''' and "the arrangement of the curriculum activities "to be indicators and the range of this study. 二、 There are significant difference between schools in Keelung that have different school scales in the aspect of the effects of scale in schools. 三、 The smaller the schools are, the better size effect will be in the schools of Keelung. 四、 Both the teachers and students of Keelung''s elementary schools have no significant difference between gender, instead , have significant difference between age 、education and position in the aspect of effects of scale in schools. 五、 Based on the viewpoint of "effects of scale in schools "to have 6 classes with 21-27 students in each one'''' will be the optimal scale in Keelung''s elementary schools. Finally, several suggestions have been made for education administration institutions ,school managers as well as for researchers.
