The architecture of BCOF is designed according to the intrinsic property of information integration, and consists of four layers. (1) The GUI (Graphical User Interface) layer is designed for visualization of input or output data of an AEC process; (2) The process object layer is designed to control the execution of an AEC process; (3) The business object layer is designed to provide AEC information to the process object layers and to manage AEC information in databases or proprietary systems; (4) The service object layer is designed to provide AEC-related common facilities, i.e., general services for the AEC industry, for objects of the process object layer or the business object layer. The contributions of BCOF are twofold. One is on the method of integrating international and domestic industry standards, and the other is on the method of integrating legacy systems into a reusable object framework. Users can retrieve their own information through the use of XML (eXtensible Markup Language), which is provided by BCOF RVS (Relationship and Version Service) and is transferred by BCOF CWS (Component Workflow Service). In the business object layer, all data are still organized and processed according to standards using BCOF IRP (Integration Rule Pattern), TOP (Transacted Object Pattern) and CFP (component Framework Pattern). Finally, the cooperative design scenario of some prototype applications is demonstrated with a change order process. Shang-Hsien Hsieh 謝尚賢 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 131 en_US |
