The output of the geometry design program provides the geometry data for plotting and the panel for potential flow calculation. A two dimensional potential flow calculation program was developed based the desigularized Cauch's formula to calculate the pressure distribution of ramp and lip of the designed two dimensional intake. The Calculated pressure distribution were similar with that measured. The pressure distribution calculated by the potential flow is a fast and accurate way that could provide the information about the calculation characteristics of ramp and lip. An optimum technique was used to find the optimum geometry parameters under the constrained situations.
