Since then, the government has laid down many projects to boost up the biotechnology industry in Taiwan. However, this industry is still in its infancy up to now.
The whole world sees biotechnology industry as a rising star in the next century. However, a reporter is not a fortune-teller to tell the readers how the biotechnology industry in Taiwan would turn out, nor a yes man to parrot the government policy. Nevertheless, by surveying the interaction between the academic and industrial circles, the weakness of the
intellectual patent, the lack of a fair system for competition, and the policy of cultivating the professionals, the thesis and report should give the reader a better understanding how the biotechnology industry in Taiwan could improve.
