Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 管理研究所工業管理學程 === 87 === In the even more competitive environment coming into the new century, the industry in Taiwan must have the capability to compete in the fast changing market and deal with the pressure of global competition. These functions can be supplied or supported by agile manufacturing. However, companies implementing agile manufacturing require not only the introduction of the concept but also the use of advanced information technology. The research in traditional concurrent engineering has shown that 70 to 80 percent of product life-cycle cost is decided in the product design stage. To increase the chance of successful implementation of agile manufacturing, the company can introduce the requirement of agile manufacturing systems in the design stage for product and process development. This will reduce the production cost and raise the quality of products. Because the potential problems have been foreseen and resolved before they actually happen, the chance of introducing new products successfully can be increased. The goal of this research is to investigate the traits or characteristics of products that meet the requirements of agile manufacturing. Considering the uncertain demands from the market or individual customers, the assembly sequences of products are analyzed with the introduction of postponement strategies. Feasible assembly sequences are analyzed based on the ease of utilizing agile manufacturing to provide a basis for decision marking. As with other DFX analysis, this research also provides a guideline and establishes an analysis model from the aspect of cost.
