As a result, many opportunities of solving problems are lost and numerous wastes are resulted. The wastes are invisible. They are burden of a company and are difficult to be noticed and/or discovered. Eventually, the company becomes lack of vitality. The study applies the free thinking concept on the basis of productivity analysis and the foundation of JIT(Just in time) theory. It also provides the strategy of waste prevention for all the individual cases.
According to the investigations, the cost for reinforcement bar assembly is one of the four construction tasks with high cost in reinforcement concrete structures. It is also one of the labor intensity tasks. Reinforcement bar assembly is always on the critical path and has a great influence at the overall schedule. Traditional reinforcement bar assembly requires a great number of technicians in the field, great amount of re-bar bending and cutting, and plenty of supply and assembly. It will become an all kinds of wastes if the planning is improper, such as production surplus, manpower wastage, etc.
Free thinking is so easy that everyone can do it. Its spirit is to free the current confinement and to break taboo. One may vitally consider the operations at every single step, seek the strategy of completing the target on the basis of work objective, and apply diverse techniques to carry it out. Finally, the goal will be achieved.
