Using various UV curable polymer concentrations under various intensities blends to produce dye guest-host polymer dispersed ferroelectric liquid crystal (DGHPDFLC), with polarizing reflector (NPF.F3225) to focus on the reflection properties. The operation of DGHFLC depends on the co-operative orientation of a dye by a ferroelectric liquid crystal host, so the model can not make used of two cross polarizers and used of single polarizing reflective form. This model could to compensate for its disadvantage of low brightness. To apply polarizing reflector can not use of backlight. Its avoid high power consumption. The result of this experiment show that only need low drive voltage can be driven, by increasing dye concentration would reduce reflectance. Add 3% wt dye into reflective-DGHFLC-device can reach best optical contrast. Intensities of ultraviolet irradiation too low would decrease reflectance. Only use 5mW-3min could get high reflectivity.
