Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 兒童福利研究所 === 87 === Abstract The purpose of this research is to find out the needs and the preferences of parent education of parents who have developmentally delayed preschooler in Taipei City. A survey is conducted using the self-constructed questionnaires. The samples are selected from four main case management centers of early intervention in Taipei City. The questionnaires are mailed to parents who have developmentally delayed preschoolers. There are 111 effective cases. The data obtained are analyzed in terms of descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The major research findings are as follows: 1. The parents of developmentally delayed preschool children in Taipei City maintain positive attitude towards parent education. They believe that parent education is essential. 2. The needs of parent education of parents of developmentally delayed preschool children in Taipei City can be divided into five aspects. "The interaction between parents and professionals" and "the knowledge of development and education of developmentally delayed preschool children" are the most needed aspects. Then the aspects of "the participation in supporting and grown-up groups", "the welfare resources of developmentally delayed preschool children" and "the adjustment and interaction of family" are also needed. 3. It is found in this research that there are no significant differences between parents'''''''' individual characteristics and the demands for the parent education. 4. There are significant differences between domains of child developmental delays and the demands for the parent education. 5. Among the modes of parent education, the preferences of parents are 1.the mass mode, 2.the group mode, and 3.the individual mode, in sequence. 6. It is found in this research that there are no significant differences between parents'''''''' individual characteristics and the parents'''''''' preferences towards the modes of parent education. 7. There are significant differences between domains of child developmental delays and the parents'''''''' preferences towards the modes of parent education.
